The Integrated Biodiversity Assessment Tool (IBAT) provides access to globally authoritative information on Protected Areas, Key Biodiversity Areas and the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™ to inform science-based decision-making and manage potential biodiversity risk and impacts. Developed through a ground-breaking partnership of global conservation leaders including BirdLife International, Conservation International (CI), the United Nations Environment Programme - World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the vision of IBAT is that decisions affecting critical biodiversity are informed by the best scientific information and in turn, decision-makers can contribute to the quest to collect and enhance the underlying datasets through their support to IBAT. To accomplish this, the IBAT Alliance have a range of bespoke risk screening reports including a Proximity Report, Freshwater Report, IFC PS6 Report, Multi-site Report, and a new metric called Species Threat Abatement and Restoration (STAR), which quantifies the opportunities for positive biodiversity actions from the site to portfolio level.”
